YOU AREN'T IN KANSAS ANYMORE: A CHRISTIAN SATIRE ON THE DEPLORABLE STATE OF AFFAIRS: Christian Blogger Lorilyn Roberts

You Aren’t in Kansas Anymore

A Christian Satire on the Deplorable State of Affairs

August 27, 2021

My Dear American Patriot,

I know you’re perplexed about the deplorable state of affairs and what in the world is happening. I want to reassure you, my friend, you are not in Kansas anymore. You will never go back to Kansas. Why would you want to go back to that cesspool when Trump was president, when America was energy independent, when the economy was thriving, when no one even knew what Critical Race Theory was, and before the rigged election? After all, we know Biden is our Commander in Chief. As they said, “Nothing here, move on.”

Aren’t you glad nobody has been able to check those Dominion machines? I wouldn’t allow it—they are under my dominion. We needed everything in place for The New World Order. It will be even better than the famous novel Brave New World. By the way, I helped Aldous Huxley to write that book. He wrote it exactly as I instructed him, and look how famous he is.

Population reduction has been going quite well. The blood of the babies offered to Molech gives me substantial supernatural power. Your utmost care is extremely important, my little messengers. Keep supporting me at the abortion clinics. I will repay you in kind on judgment day. Isn’t it nice to be on the winning side? We’ve made tremendous progress since we got rid of Number 45.

Now to more important things: Don’t let the troop withdrawal from Afghanistan concern you. The news media is lying to you about all those casualties. You know how they lie about everything. They rarely get anything correct, and this is their biggest blunder yet. Just keep your eyes on me; don’t look up. I control the powers that be in Washington. You need not concern yourself with matters so high and lofty.

Don’t believe that things are getting better? Think about all the free money you’ve received since my cat’s paw landed in the office of the presidency. Many of you haven’t had to pay rent in months. Ah! An extended vacation. You say, ”Keep this gravy train going.” I say, “Let the government take care of you. You deserve it. Let’s make America great again. After all, the mantra is ‘land of the free.’ That should include free housing, free health insurance, and free food.”

But back to the current state of affairs. I know many of you have been dismayed about forced vaccinations at your job and vaccine passports, the harbinger of war in the Middle East, and the terrible plight of illegal, dangerous people crossing the border into the country.

However, this is all necessary to discourage believers. We want them to join us. We must reeducate them about what’s really happening. We need to convince the recalcitrant that borders are evil. In due time, they will come around. Once they realize nobody is listening, they will shut up. Christians are like sheep. Eventually, they do what they are told. That’s what Christians do.

Rest assured, we are gaining in strength, and we are growing in numbers. The stage is set for me to send my world leader on the scene, a man of fortresses, who will bring world peace. Once we kill off a significant portion of the population through every means at our fingertips, we will be able to rebuild and make the world a better place.

In the meantime, we need to destroy the U.S. Constitution. That document has caused more damage to the blacks, Latinos, and LGBTQ community than any other document in the history of humankind. The next presidential election should seal that deal. I thank my minions who put those secure voting machines in strategic locations. I expect to have complete dominion over all the countries that are members of the United Nations after the next U.S. presidential election. My chosen leader is already here setting up a one-world government. It’s my craftiness, my cunning, and my persuasion through deception that’s allowed the pieces to fall into place.

We must keep up the pressure on climate change. Population control will go a long way toward reducing carbon emissions, and we must reduce beef consumption. Cows produce too much flatulence and are a significant producer of the worst kind of pollution. Just get rid of the cows, which will take care of four percent of the greenhouse gases worldwide.

For this news cycle from my lofty position above the earth, here are my recommendations:

1.     Make sure you receive the Covid shot. In fact, make sure you receive all the booster shots that will soon follow. They are for your good. Fear is a good motivator. Keep scaring those who are resistant into compliance.

2.     Follow all the guidelines from the CDC, NIH, and WHO. You know they have your best interest at heart. You know they wouldn’t recommend a vaccine that hadn’t undergone the rigors of proper testing. They would never compromise, would they? After all, they have no liability if someone dies from Covid, and if they have a financial interest, it’s not important. Nobody would care. We don’t have to tell the public about any of the adverse effects from the shot—that might scare people, and then they wouldn’t get the jab. Mind control is good. We don’t want to upset the masses. Why disappoint them? Tell them what they want to hear. If you say it enough times, they will believe you. Everyone hates bad news. Just give them the good news—the shot works. That’s all you have to say.

3.     Make sure you wear your mask. You wouldn’t want to infect your loved ones, would you? After all, the death rate is as high as 1% in people who are too old to be useful citizens. Again, just do the right thing. Wear your mask. Make your children wear a mask. You want them to be good, compliant citizens just like you when they grow up. You want to teach them to obey every law passed by Big Brother because that’s what good citizens do. Be a good role model; never question anything—that’s bad. Always trust the government. You know they care deeply about you and your family. Trust them with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.

4.     Make sure you keep an eye on your neighbor, colleague, spouse, and cohort. We need to make sure everyone does what’s best for the country. If someone does not follow instructions, you need to report them to the authorities. We need to cancel those who distort the truth. If someone doesn’t comply, we may need to take bolder measures, like implementing a social scorecard. I can vouch for the fact they have been very effective in China to force people into compliance. I’ll share more about that later.

Remember, Big Brother is watching you. Be ready to embrace the new reality that is under construction even as we speak. You aren’t in Kansas anymore.

Prince of the Air,

Seventh Dimension Series - Christian Fantasy by Lorilyn Roberts

Seventh Dimension Series

The Seventh Dimension Series Full Box Set includes The Door, The King, The Castle, The City, The Prescience, and The Howling. The Seventh Dimension Series has won over thirty book awards.

“Time is an illusion until God’s appointed time,” is the major theme based on A.W. Tozer’s quote in The Pursuit of God: “A spiritual kingdom lies all about us, enclosing us, embracing us, altogether within reach of our inner selves, waiting for us to recognize it. God Himself is here waiting our response to His Presence. This eternal world will come alive to us the moment we begin to reckon upon its reality.”

The two young protagonists, Shale Snyder, an American, and Daniel Sperling, an Israeli, meet in the seventh dimension—a reality outside of time. Their love for each other is conflicted over their opposing spiritual beliefs that seem irreconcilable.

The story covers many years as the young couple matures. The sixth book, The Howling, culminates with Biblical revelations concerning the future, Daniel’s missing father, and a startling surprise.

Allegory, foreshadowing, and symbolism are woven into the Seventh Dimension Series, and the heroism of the two protagonists is meant to inspire the reader.

Love and forgiveness are virtues that both protagonists must learn. The Seventh Dimension Series begins in Atlanta, Georgia, but quickly moves to Israel. The reader soon finds himself immersed in the first century, and stories from the life of Jesus Christ intersect the story plot outside of time. As the reader progresses through the books, he is exposed to many religions and worldviews, including Judaism, Hinduism, Islam, and Buddhism; and the young couple makes a memorable trip to heaven and hell.

Many relevant topics are addressed that young adults will have explored in school, among friends, or been exposed to through the media—evolution versus creationism, globalism versus nationalism, socialism versus capitalism, adoption versus abortion, and Christianity versus occultism. Spiritual warfare is a recurring theme, and there are talking animals, special gifts, and much more that I will let the reader discover for himself.

The protagonists are coming-of-age young adults, taken via supernatural stargates into the violent, unpredictable world of the seventh dimension. While I wrote this series for young adults, all readers will enjoy deeper, profound truths that can only be learned from a life well-lived.

An unexamined life can squander the opportunity to be redeemed. What a waste. My goal is to make the reader think, ask questions, and consider the most important question of all—where will he spend eternity? As noted above, the theme of the Seventh Dimension Series is: “Time is an illusion until God’s appointed time.” You may not have tomorrow. You only have today, this hour, this moment, this second…

WHAT GOD IS TELLING ME - REPENT, PRAY AND DON’T BE DECEIVED ABOUT THE LAST DAYS: Devotional by Lorilyn Roberts

I have hesitated to write this post because it's controversial. It will make readers uncomfortable. It makes me uncomfortable. But God has told me it’s time to come out of my comfort zone. It’s time to speak the truth, and sometimes that’s not popular or expedient. Some will think I have become an end times lunatic or a believer in conspiracies. Well, so be it. I write from my heart and continue to ask God for wisdom and discernment.

Before I started working on Seventh Dimension - The City, Book 4, I asked God to show me the battle between good and evil throughout history and into the last days. While God wins, sometimes winning is hugely costly—it cost Yeshua His life. Sometimes winning brings an outcome we don’t expect. Sometimes we must lose the battle to win the war. I am confident of this one thing, though: God is on my side.

Be careful what you ask for. I'm sure you’ve heard that expression before, but it's true. I have spent the last forty plus years living out a comfortable Christianity. Not that my Christian walk has always been easy and not that I haven't endured trials and hardships, but compared to what's coming, I am hesitant to label anything about my Christian walk in the past, comparing it to what’s to come, as anything more than minor suffering.

As I look at what our Christian and Jewish brothers and sisters in Syria and other countries around the world are facing, don’t believe for an instant that what they are enduring won’t come to America. Believe, me, the West is not going to go comfortably into the sunset before the Lord’s return. We are ignorant to think we will escape some degree of suffering even if we don’t experience the full wrath of God.

The King James Bible in 2 Thessalonians 2:11 states: “And for this cause God shall send them a strong delusion, that they should believe a lie.”

Could I be deceived? Could you be deceived?

In 1994, when my daughter, Manisha, suffered an epileptic seizure, the cause was nearly impossible to diagnose based on ambiguous MRI’s. It was called a "zebra" in medical parlance. We ended up going to Yale University so she could be examined by a renowned doctor in pediatric infectious disease. This physician was the only one who was certain that what my daughter had was a “worm in her head,” known as neurocysticercosis. She assured me it was treatable, that my daughter could fully recover, and that she did not have what was initially labeled as a brain tumor.

Considering that my adoptive father died of a brain tumor five years to the very day that my daughter had the partial complex seizure, I was skeptical and scared. It was this doctor’s validation that gave me the assurance I needed to go to Vietnam and adopt my second daughter, Joy, one week later. Looking back on those difficult days, it’s hard to believe Manisha is now 24 and Joy will be turning 17 in a few short weeks.

How could this doctor be so sure of the diagnosis despite the doubts of others? How could she give me that assurance? Because she knew what neurocysticercosis was—better than anyone else at that time. She was one of the leading authorities on this disease in 1994.

Do we know the times in which we live? Have we studied Scripture and asked God to open our eyes to what's coming? Are we prepared? Are we as the five wise virgins in the Parable of the Ten Virgins (Matthew 25) ready for the bridegroom’s return? Or are we as the five foolish virgins who missed the wedding because they weren’t prepared and ran out of oil before the bridegroom arrived?

I have always been struck by what Jesus said in this parable: “And the foolish said unto the wise, ‘give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘No so; lest there be not enough for us and you, but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.’’’

The wise virgins did not (or could not) give their oil (the Holy Spirit) to the foolish virgins.

A few years following the health crisis of Manisha, I wrote a blog post about the experience. I explained how she had a parasite in her brain, a parasite that she contracted in Nepal before I adopted her at age 3. I wrote the article so that other adoptive parents could be warned about neurocysticercosis. I didn’t want anyone else to bring home an adopted son or daughter and face the fear and uncertainty I had faced, something that could easily be remedied with a simple deworming pill—just like you give to dogs and cats and farm animals for hookworm and other parasites.

After publishing that article on my blog, I was contacted by the producers of the Animal Planet show, "Monsters Inside Me." They had found my blog post and wanted to feature our story.

A few years after the airing of the episode, the producer emailed me once again and asked if I knew of anyone else who had adopted a child and had a similar story of a brain or other parasitic infection. I told her of one person who had contacted me and who had said he was "filled with worms and didn’t know what to do. They were destroying his body…" The producer responded back and said the person had Morgellons Syndrome. Of course, I had no idea what that was, so I Googled it. Someone suffering from Morgellons Syndrome is deluded with parasites.

The producer of Animal Planet’s “Monsters Inside Me” could tell the difference between someone who really had a parasitic infection from those who only thought they did.

Do I have that kind of knowledge or perception when it comes to current world events and what the Bible says about those events? Do I know God's truth well enough to tell a fake story from a lie or a delusion?

Luke 21:26 states: "...Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth; for the powers of heaven shall be shaken."

To be honest, until the last couple of months, I couldn't imagine what could be so horrific that men's hearts would fail them with fear. What could be worse than a nuclear bomb? While that is scary, it would not cause my heart to fail me with fear. I guess it’s because I have lived with that possibility all my life.

I believe there are things that will be worse than that—things that are supernatural.

Luke 17:26 states: "And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man."

When I think of these words, I imagine people living in sin, forgetting God, and being filled with wickedness. Every day I caption sports and news on television, and I have yet to caption a newscast that was filled with just “good news.” The problem with this “traditional” interpretation is that this kind of sin has been going on since Adam and Eve rebelled in the garden. What was different about the time of Noah?

How many of you have heard about the Nephilim? How many of you have heard about transhumanism and the creation of hybrids? How many of you have heard about CERN? How many of you have heard about the increase in UFO's, alien abductions, and animal mutilations? How many of you know about the connection of the Vatican with the Mount Graham National Observatory near Safford, Arizona? Why does the Vatican have a telescope in Arizona? What are they looking for? How many of you are familiar with HAARP, a high frequency active auroral secret research program that no one will talk about?

It's linked to the chem trails that are being sprayed from airplanes all over the world. What are they spraying and why? What about Jade Helm, another top-secret military operation that ended a few days ago—why have they labeled Texas, Utah, and Southern California hostile states?

I have mentioned only a few things here to show you why it's important to know God's truth and why we need to be informed and prepared for the last days—whenever those days might come. We don't know God's timetable for anything. But there are signs. I believe the only thing that is holding back "the day of the Lord" is God's merciful hope that people will turn to Him and repent, and as a nation, we have a lot for which to repent.

This week, several significant events are taking place. The Pope will be visiting the United States and addressing the United Nations and Congress following the most Holy Day of the Jewish calendar, Yom Kippur, on September 23. It is the Day of Atonement, a day when Jews fast, engage in prayer, and ask for forgiveness. If the rapture were to take place this year, I believe it would happen on Yom Kippur. Of course, none of us knows the day or the hour. It might not be for a hundred years. Only God knows.

Other significant events have also happened recently or are still occurring. We are at the end of a blood moon tetrarch cycle that has taken place on the Jewish holy days for the last two years. Historically, tetrarch blood moon cycles rarely fall on the Jewish appointed days, but when they do, significant events have been associated with them.

We are at the end of the seven-year Shemitah (financial) cycle and possibly at the end of the 49-year Jubilee cycle. If this is true (and it’s hard to know absolutely because the Jewish Jubilee hasn’t been celebrated in over 2,000 years), the last Jubilee year before this one would have been in 1967 when the Jews took Jerusalem back on June 11, 1967, in the Six Day War (to calculate this, you need to use the Jewish lunar calendar and not the solar calendar).

We face perilous times in the Middle East. The recent treaty with Iran puts Israel at risk. War is imminent. In my opinion, it's not a matter of "if" but "when."

I began work on my book Seventh Dimension - The City by asking God to show me the battle between good and evil, particularly in the last days. God has given me much to think about. If you ask yourself the same question and you do the same reading and research I have done, you will eventually have the same second question: What is truth and what is delusional?

I don't believe we can know these answers humanly-speaking. Because the battle we fight is spiritual, we can only discern it spiritually. As a Christian, that would be through the Holy Spirit.

One thing I have learned: The occult is alive and well on planet Earth. Do not underestimate what Satan is about. He is the "prince of the air" and he knows his craft well. He also knows his time is short. He has plenty of “angels of light” roaming the earth giving enlightenment, but be aware. This is occult knowledge—not from Jesus Christ. Have nothing to do with these masqueraders. And there are many, including the elite, those pushing for a New World Order, and those who practice freemasonry.

We must remember Ephesians 6:17-18: "And you will need the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit—which is the Word of God. Pray all the time. Ask God for anything in line with the Holy Spirit's wishes. Plead with Him, remind Him of your needs, and keep praying earnestly for all Christians everywhere."

II Timothy 1:7 states: “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind.”

If the stock market crashes a thousand points this week, are you going to panic? If the banks close, do you have some cash stashed away that you can quickly access and live off of for a month? Do you have a few weeks of food on hand if the shelves at the grocery store are emptied by panic-driven mobs? What if there is no money available at the teller machine because our country is in the throes of a financial crisis and no cash or credit is available? What if the power grid fails and your house turns dark? Are you prepared for that kind of adversity? It could happen. It's happened before.

More importantly, if the rapture doesn't happen until after a period of trial and tribulation, are you ready to suffer? Are you ready to die for your faith? A friend of mine who has a friend whose husband is a trucker pulled into a truck-weighing station on the highway. When they checked the contents inside his truck, they found guillotines. Why would anyone be transporting guillotines in America?

We live in perilous times. My greatest fear is the true church in America is sleeping. As Christians, I don’t believe we are prepared physically, emotionally, or spiritually for what may be coming. We are too complacent sitting in front of our television screens, filling our already too full bellies with ice cream and snapping silly selfies with our latest iPhone. I am guilty also, but I am trying to do my part now to alert others—God needs you. He needs you to be a witness. He needs the sleeping church to wake up. We are His army. He needs us to be aware and ready so our oil is full and not empty.

We are either on the verge of the greatest Christian awakening in history or what the Bible refers to as the Tribulation. I don’t know about you, but I’d much rather leave for my children a world brimming with the knowledge of God and the love of Jesus Christ. It’s not too late to wake up the sleeping church.

Israel needs you. Be the friend they need during these dangerous days. Yes, the Jews are living in Israel in disbelief. That’s why they need us more than ever. God brought them back in disbelief. He has not abandoned them. God needs us to be their friend and be a witness to them. They need to know evangelical Christians are behind them one hundred percent even if Washington isn't.

We need to stand for truth when it comes to marriage. Don't cave in. Don't compromise. God made man and woman this way, to cling to one another and bear children together. To believe anything other than this is an abomination. Don’t be deceived.

Ask God to forgive us for any role we have had in the greatest holocaust since World War II—the killing of the unborn child. Their blood cries out for justice. We should shake in our shoes over God’s coming judgment for this horrific crime—a crime that has not only afflicted our country, but we set the precedent and gave “permission” to legalize abortion to the rest of the world. We have led the whole world astray.

The timing of the release of the Planned Parent videos is not without significance. We have sacrificed our children at the altar of convenience, and ultimately, Satan’s altar. We have fed the false religions of this world with the blood they crave—just like the heathen in ancient times. Don’t be deceived. There is power in that blood—the power of life. Don't believe for a second God has turned a blind eye to the one billion plus children who have been aborted worldwide. “The day of the Lord” is coming.

Pray for our country. Pray for our nation. Pray for revival. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Pray that no matter what happens, whether we see demons coming in UFO's who claim to be the saviors of mankind or our country is invaded with strange apparitions that are part human and part demonic (Nephilim), we will not waiver in our faith. We will not take the mark of the beast. We will die for our belief that Jesus Christ is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He is the Messiah and no one else. No matter what happens, remember who wins, and in the end, that's all that matters. The battle belongs to the Lord and He will give all of us the strength and grace to do His good work until His return.

Again, do not give up or grow weary. There is good in the world and it’s worth fighting for. God does not want anyone to perish, but for everyone to be saved. Let’s join together and pray for revival before it’s too late. There is still time. Return to God. Pray—in the car, in the shower, in bed, at work. Pray unceasingly—and hopefully, God will hear our prayers and delay His coming judgment.

PRISONS OF THE MIND - CAN DEAFNESS SET THE CAPTIVE FREE: Devotional by Lorilyn Roberts

Recently a deaf person emailed me a letter that profoundly touched me. I don’t have permission to print it—hopefully, at some point, I will—but I wanted to share my response with her. I have a large contingent of deaf and hearing-impaired people who follow my blog. Her struggles are universal also, not just confined to those who are hearing disabled. I pray that my thoughts are Godly and thought-provoking. Salvation is a momentary decision but can take a lifetime of surrendering. Wherever you are in that decision, after reading this blog post, please share. This may be your moment….don’t waste it.

By Lorilyn Roberts

Satan’s biggest deception is to masquerade as an angel of light. He wants to trick us into believing, if it were possible, that Jesus Christ is not the answer. The paradox is that God made us both strong and weak. We are strong in the sense that we fight for life at all costs, longing for what He gave us in the beginning – eternal life. We are weak in the sense that true happiness can’t be found except in our relationship with Him. If Satan can convince us we can be as God, our pride will make us reluctant to admit we need anyone or anything else. Humility lies at the beginning of the road to salvation.

There are many kinds of prisons and you’ve found one of them – the bottle. Prisons null our pain, but they also take away our freedom—most importantly, the freedom to choose. God also never takes away our freedom to fail but will never not give us what we need to succeed. The devil will give you what you think you want—God will give you Himself. Some prisoners will go to their grave having sold their soul to the devil—for this world and the next. For what? A lie.

Ultimate freedom in Christ will never take away your freedom of choice. If you have made idols of your wants or lowered your expectations of what will make you happy, you will be imprisoned in your mind to false gods that will do nothing to save your soul. Sin feels good at the time, but a moment of bliss can bring a lifetime of regret. Ultimately, sin will destroy your ability to hear God’s voice. Don’t forget, eternity is forever. We will all spend eternity in heaven or in hell. The choice is ours.

You are strong in the sense you have found freedom by conquering your dependency on alcohol. God has blessed you with a spouse to love and cherish. As you have discovered, however, it’s not enough to be free FROM something. We need to find our freedom IN something.

There is not enough of anything in this world to bring us complete happiness. There is not enough power ball money, adoration of fans, cushy jobs, plastic surgery, or computer gadgets to fill our hearts. We aren’t made to have a relationship with idols. We are made for a relationship with Jesus Christ. Without Him, all other pursuits may bring partial or temporary happiness, but they are fleeting at best.

That brings me to the root of your quest for answers. Who is God? You were born deaf, and your whole life has been devoted to overcoming this limitation in order to survive in a world where nearly everyone else hears. You feel flawed, shortchanged, and your perceptions have influenced many of the choices you have made, both good and bad.

Has it ever occurred to you that God made you that way for a purpose? You might ask me, “Why would God do that?”

People ask that question in reference to their own “flaws” or “disappointments” or “lot in life” hundreds of time each day. I have asked myself that same question – I even ask it of others. Why did God take away my friend’s eyesight? Why did my beautiful adopted daughter from Nepal suffer for years with seizures? Why did God allow her to drink contaminated water from Nepal that gave her a brain infection? Why are there 150 million orphans around the world with little hope of being adopted?

My goal is not to make you feel guilty or to compare your disability with others. You have already done that plenty of times. We all have. That is part of Satan’s ploy, to guilt us into feeling like we are no good, or trick us into comparing ourselves with others with a legalistic yardstick—God does not measure our value in such a demonic, meaningless way.

We need to remember how much our sin grieves God. It took the death of His Son, Jesus Christ, to make it possible for us to enter into the kingdom of heaven. Can we know the evilness of sin and appreciate the price God paid in our fallen, depraved state? We can’t see it—except through suffering. We see sin when we see a young child die of cancer. We see sin on the battlefield during war, in a car accident that devastates a family, in a drug overdose that kills a young person, and in the sex trafficking trade in Nepal and India. We shake our fist at those things and proclaim the wickedness of man, aghast that any decent human being could rip out a young girl’s genitals and sell her as a slave. We cringe and become angry—angry at what we know is wrong and inhumane.

Our infirmities remind us of our need for Jesus Christ. We are driven to repent when we realize how weak we are in spirit to do even one good thing. Our blindness and deafness and diseases awaken us from an indifferent slumber and instill in us a longing for the day God will wipe away every tear. We don’t suffer in vain—we suffer for God’s glory. If we give our weaknesses to Him, something supernatural happens within us that is more powerful than anything man can invent or achieve. The Holy Spirit makes us bold and enables us to let go of past hurts and forgive. We are compelled to take our eyes off of ourselves and focus our hearts and minds on the one who created us. We remember once again we aren’t made for this world. We are made for eternity.

Your ability to rise above your deafness can only take you so far—it can’t overcome that emptiness within you that only the Holy Spirit can fill. In fact, Jesus Christ is so much bigger than your deafness, that if you truly allowed Him into your heart, your heart couldn’t contain Him. You would burst with joy—not that you are deaf, but that He’d given you so much joy. You would thank your deafness for allowing you the privilege of bringing others into the kingdom.

God has given each person many gifts. He has given you a gift of writing. If you want God to use you to help others, you need to claim one gift which you have not yet unwrapped. You need to claim His gift of salvation.

You have figured out how to live in this world marginally happy, but you know there is something missing. You are using the freedom God gave you to reject Him—His love for you and His salvation for you—forever. Forever is a very long time. If you die as a believer, you will be given a new body with perfect hearing. The greatest gift you will receive in heaven will be your appreciation for what you never had here. I believe my greatest gift will be the unconditional love of Jesus—the assurance that He will never leave me—I fear being abandoned.

What we don’t have here for God’s glory will be magnified in heaven, poured out, given with such generosity it will be as the stars that shine down on us or the sands that cover the seashore. If God lavished us with those perfect gifts here, would we really appreciate them? How many people have died lonely and broken—seemingly who had everything? How many truly happy people live in Hollywood? It is out of our need that God fills us, for then we know without Him, we are needy. The nothingness is what draws us to Him and enables us to be used by Him. We become His witness, His voice, His legs, His eyes, His ears, and His servants. We become part of the Great Commission.

Ask yourself: How can I use my deafness to draw people into a relationship with Jesus Christ? Use the one thing you don’t have to glorify Him—and you will find that your greatest suffering and need will become your greatest asset and joy.

Remember also, God loves you. He loves you more than you can imagine. Someday you will stand before heaven’s gates—will they open and allow you to enter? Don’t let anyone take away your desire to know the truth. As the Bible says, the truth will set you free. The search for answers will lead you down paths that only God can answer, that won’t be found in bottles of wine or quick fixes that lead to death.

I want to share a short excerpt from my book, Seventh Dimension – The Door, about a young girl who spent her whole life bullied and rejected by others. She was imprisoned by her worthless and destructive self-image. Read what the King did and ask yourself, is this not me?

Then the king turned towards me. I now knew the king completely—as my heavenly father, the father who loved me, the father who would never leave me or forsake me.

“Your sins are forgiven.” He held out his hands and the fresh scars on his wrists overwhelmed me. Tears flowed freely. He said, “I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself, that where I am, there you may be also.”

A birdcage gently floated down from the sky and landed in his outstretched hands. He took the cage and hung it on an olive tree. A small bird sat inside the cage. The king opened the door to the cage and the small creature walked from its perch and alighted on his finger. He lifted the bird out of the cage, kissed it, and whispered, “You are a daughter of the king.”

I realized at that moment, he was saying those words to me. I felt his tender kiss on my forehead. I gazed into the sky as the bird flew into the heavens. Before I could say anything, the king was gone.

In Luke 4:18, Jesus said, "The Spirit of the LORD is upon me, for He has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free.”

You’ve been a prisoner long enough. Jesus, the King wants to set you free. He has opened the door to your heart, just as He opened the door to the bird cage for Shale and set her free. Don’t delay. Invite Jesus into your heart, ask Him to forgive you of all your sins, receive the Holy Spirit, and begin the first day of the rest of your life. You have a story to tell that only you can share. Someone needs to hear it, not the least of which is me. I want to know what Jesus has done in your life. Please share it in the comments below.
